Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am actually a SWFL native, born and raised in Fort Myers
How old are your children?
I have 3 children; Mason (12), Grady (10), and Kinsley (7)
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
Most people in Naples know me as either a teacher or a Personal trainer; but I actually went to college to major in Criminal Justice and went through the Police Academy, which is where a met my husband.
What is your favorite thing about living here?
I love how active the people are in this community and how we have the ability to be able to spend so much time outdoors. I also appreciate the sunshine and (for the most part) the clear blue skies
What do you love to do with your family around town?
We love to go for walks, whether its around our neighborhood or trying out a park or other walkable neighborhood around town.
Tell us about your business and how it came to be, what you love about it, what makes it unique, what your goal is, etc…
I have owned a fitness business for the past 12 years, starting the Baby Boot Camp franchise here locally; once my children were out of a stroller I decided it was time to sell my local business but I still wanted to follow my passion of teaching fitness classes for women which is how Form Fit was born. Over the past year I have listened to my clients and the difficulties they were having making it to in person classes and now I solely offer online Live Streaming Fitness Classes which allows women to be able to attend class with a Certified Personal Trainer from the comfort of their home. Unlike some classes where you just see the trainer teaching the class, I am able to see my clients to correct form and they are able to see each other (if they choose) to help build camaraderie. My goal is to be able to help women who feel like they don’t have the ability/time to get out the door to attend a class in person, to be able to offer them an opportunity to workout in a safe & fun environment.
Are you involved in anything else within the community?
I host the Naples Girly Book Club Chapter (a worldwide book club) and absolutely love being able to meet so many amazing women throughout the community. I also teach a mobility & balance class at the local Multiple Sclerosis Center of SWFL which has been a true blessing to be able to see them happy and confident while moving (something so many of us take for granted), and I am an Odyssey of the Mind coach at my children’s elementary school, which is a program that allows children to creatively solve problems in innovative ways.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I will always be thankful to have met so many amazing moms in the Naples/Ft Myers community who continue to help support me in my career and in all things motherhood. I love that moms are so willing to come together and support one another through life.
