Meet Michelle who was born and raised in Naples! Michelle is a Mom who has multiple talents including owning Tritone Triple Barre Fitness in downtown Naples. Michelle is a busy entrepreneur who started from the very bottom and worked her way to the top.
How many kids do you have and what are their age(s)?
Technically 4: 1 son 3 years old, 1 step-son 9, 1 man-child 38 aka husband & 1 fluffy puppy 5
How long have you lived in Naples and why did you decide to live here?
I am a native Neapolitan! Born and raised in Paradise. I absolutely love everything about my hometown. Growing up here I always wanted to get out but once I did, I realized that this is the BEST place on earth to live. Naples is safe and beautiful. As a mom I feel good about raising my children somewhere where crime is low and people are friendly.
What is your favorite family activity in the area?
We love the costal life… going on our boat, playing outside, relaxing by the pool.
Do you have a favorite family friendly restaurant? Date night?
We are a busy house of entrepreneurs so we don’t get much date night time but when we do, you will find me on 5th Ave S & 3 rd St. My entire career has been downtown between bartending, Interior Design and my dance fitness studio. I love to support local businesses and stay true to my roots! When we have the kids we love to have great BBQ at Texas Tony’s; they can be loud, draw on the table and eat delicious affordable food.
What is your favorite thing to do when you need some “me time”?
AAhhhh…. Me time… what is that?!?! Honestly, I love what I do so much I spend most of my off-work time patronizing my own businesses lol I love to get a good Barre workout in at my studio and swim like a mermaid at the pool with my mono fin and tail! I love crafting, designing and doing anything creative. Of course, can’t forget spending time with my little guy!
How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project you might be doing? How has it changed since becoming a mom?
I’m an avid creator and entrepreneur, owning 3 prominent brands- TriTone Triple Barre, MerQuatics & AquaTexture Design. I got to where I am today through perseverance and very dedicated hard work. All of my businesses I started from the very bottom and worked my way to the top, but I am still swimming to the top every day and battling the current! I have big dreams and goals for myself that I will never stop building to support other women as entrepreneurs as my franchisees, corporate team members or as clients. My degree is in Interior Design with 2 Minors, Child Development and Dance from the Florida State University. I grew up as an athletic competitor and then transformed into a passionate coach. When I became a mom my body completely changed and having overcome
debilitating back injuries from excessive impaction through my competitive sporting, I knew it was time to make a change, to find myself and to become confident again. I decided to open my dance fitness concept to lead clients and women to success. We all have things we are trying to overcome and together we can make a change. I am a real woman, doing real things to achieve real results and that is what I want to share with the world as I guide women to finding the best version of themselves in our mirror.
Proudest mommy moment?
When my son reflects my talents and personality within himself. I love seeing him grow and prosper, he is extremely creative, athletic to the max, loves to dance and just lights up any room with his social skills. He is going to be a shining star!!!
Best piece of advice for another mom?
Love your children but don’t loose yourself! Children watch and learn from you so be amazing for them and for you! The harder I work, the more my child blossoms; they are a product of their environment so if you show them how to be strong you will be proud when they accomplish great things in life.
Who has most influenced you to be the mother you are today?
My Mom! She is my superhero. As a single mother and business owner she played a very challenging role in life. My mom & her sister were both creative, entrepreneurs and dancers. I come from a long line of strong women, showing me how to achieve in life while overcoming any obstacles along the way. I was taught to never depend on a man or anyone else to do something for you, if you want it you have to get up and go do it!!!
Something we’d be surprised to learn about you?
I am secretly a Mermaid! I LOVE to dress up as a mermaid for events and themed children’s birthday parties. Completely obsessed with anything whimsical and magical.
I have always been a social butterfly, now with my career in the public eye but I am actually a very conservative and private lifestyle adult. I keep most of my personal life in my home where it belongs. I spent 1 year of my life in pain on the couch unable to get up and tackle life. I literally lost everything that I thought was something. This changed how I see the world and now I am just thankful for every moment I get to be alive and get to be a mom. Every moment is an opportunity for new beginnings.
